How I Quit PUBG Mobile.
You can directly jump to conclusion, but if you’ll read the whole article, I’ll be grateful.
From the beginning,
I started playing PUBG Mobile from 04, January 2019. Since, I just bought a new smartphone which can seamlessly run PUBG mobile. I started playing it due to peer pressure and played for an hour or so everyday for a couple of months.
After playing it for months, I discovered new friends on PUBG and we formed a squad. Then we started playing PUBG Mobile daily for hours in the midnight (generally from 11 PM to 3 AM). At certain points, I gave more priority to PUBG rather than to my studies, exams and public relations.
At the starting of September 2019, I got very busy with my college work and supervising the construction of our own house in the city. Whole day I was busy at the construction site and college works. Despite of being mentally and physically tired I still used to play in the midnight at the cost of my sleep.
In December 2019, I had my semester exams. So, I took a decision to stop and ended playing PUBG for a while. After my semester ends, I started playing PUBG again same as before.
The turning point came when we shifted to our newly constructed house, on Feb 02, 2020. Since, we had shifted recently, it took about a week to settle down everything and during this settling phase I didn’t play PUBG.
After settling down, playing PUBG was off my routine. After few weeks, I started playing again because of peer pressure. But this time, I felt no excitement, no enthusiasm, nothing. And this is how I quit PUBG Mobile.
The Conclusion
In my case, changing the place where I used to sit and play for hours and a break of 1 week for settling down, has made me to have no dopamine eruption for PUBG Mobile anymore.
In the upcoming article, I’ll write about how my behavior changed after quitting PUBG Mobile.
